Google Pixel 4 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Comparison

Google Pixel 4 vs Note 10: Which one should you buy and why?

If you look at a specs comparison of the Pixel 4 vs Note10, you’ll realize that they both have the Snapdragon 855 chip inside, which is a great processor that will keep both of these phones quick over the years. But the Note10 has a larger screen (6.3” vs 5.7” in the Pixel 4) and a much larger battery (3500mAh vs 2800mAh). But you’d think that maybe Google found some clever way to decrease battery consumption with maybe some clever software tricks? Not really. As a matter of fact, the Pixel 4 even has an energy-guzzling 90hz refresh screen that looks really smooth, but is further detrimental to battery life.

Google Pixel 4 vs Note10: If battery life is a big deal to you, the Pixel 4 is definitely not for you

As you can already tell, the battery life in the Pixel 4 is seriously concerning. I mean, if you work in an office and spend most of your day by a charger, you may not be worried, but for those that go through their whole day without recharging their smartphones, let me tell you right now, the Pixel 4 is not for you.

Pixel 4 or Note 10: There are redeeming qualities of the Pixel 4

Yes, when you compare the Pixel 4 vs Note 10, there is a huge difference in battery life that makes the Note the obvious favorite, but the Pixel 4 does have some cool tricks up its sleeve. For one, it has a radar chip in the forehead of the device that gives it the fastest face unlock system currently in a smartphone at the time of writing. There are also some cool gesture controls thanks to this radar chip—like if you are streaming music, you can skip songs by waving your hand over the device—but many will probably consider these to be gimmicky. Ah, but don’t forget about Google’s legendary photography software. This gives the Pixel 4 a slight edge over the Note 10 in the photography department, especially when taking nighttime photos. And then there’s also the fact that this is a “pure” Google device. This will give you the cleanest version of Android, and perhaps a slightly better user experience than Samsung’s iteration of the software.

Should you buy the Pixel 4 or Note 10?

If you spend a lot of time by the electric outlet and don’t mind charging the Pixel before the day is done, you may still be undecided between the Note10 vs Pixel 4. If you’re still undecided, think about the sizing of both of these devices. The Pixel 4 is a much more compact phone that will be more comfortable to use with one hand and throw in your pocket/bag. It’s a lot more utilitarian in design terms than the Note10, but maybe you like that. The Note10 is better for watching a lot of YouTube videos and mobile gaming because of the bigger display, but it’s also harder to hold because of the rounded edges—unless you put a case on it. Regardless, we won’t tell you which device to choose, because they’re both good options, as long as you’re aware of their strengths and weaknesses.

From phones to fridges, you can’t choose wrong.
