Samsung Galaxy S8
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is the second best high-end Samsung smartphone, only surpassed by the Galaxy Note 8. The device brought the long-awaited renewal in the design of the Galaxy line. The new Korean mobile phone is also betting on ever more complete accessories, full of adapters and the AKG brand headset.
The smartphone came in five color options: black, silver, violet silver, blue and pink. The Samsung Galaxy S8 maintains the combination of metal and glass from the previous generation. A specialized service of the company for its best customers includes an instruction guide containing information on how to pass the data from the old smartphone to the new Samsung Galaxy S8.
A smartphone completely different from anything seen on the market, and you could tell just by the Galaxy S8 price. The screen is bright, very clear and crisp, and offers a lovely color reproduction to make watching movies a dream come true. The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch display with QuadHD+ resolution, that is 1,440 pixels horizontally with 2,960 pixels vertically, resulting in 570 pixels per inch. It has an 18.5:9 ratio, different from the traditional 16:9, which helped reduce the top and bottom edges and keep the smartphone more compact.
The new Samsung screen is able to reach 780 lux of brightness when measuring with a luxometer, being one of the highest on AMOLED display. In addition, the panel features HDR, which further enhances brightness with content optimized for HDR. The Samsung Galaxy S8 offers a choice of three resolutions: standard FHD+ (1080 x 2220), HD+ (720 x 1480) and native.
The Galaxy S8 was released in two versions: with Snapdragon 835 for the United States and China; and a global version, which comes with the Exynos 8895 CPU. Both sets have a lithography of 10 nm, which guarantees low energy consumption. The Exynos 8895 is a processor consisting of eight cores divided into two blocks, the first with four cores working at the maximum speed of 2.3 GHz and another four cores at a speed limited to 1.7 GHz. The former is responsible for heavy tasks, while the latter deals with simpler processes.
For memory, the device has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, where 54GB is available to the user. In addition, it is possible to expand memory with the use of microSD cards up to 256 GB.
The selfie camera of the Galaxy 8 has not shown a remarkable evolution compared to the previous generation. It is a 12-megapixel camera with Dual pixel technology, f/1.7 aperture, and Ultra HD video recording capability at 30 frames per second. However, on the front, the smartphone had a more significant breakthrough. Maximum resolution rises to 8 megapixels, maintaining the same f/1.7 aperture and Quad HD video recording capability.
One of the most admired innovations is the biometric unlocking. With the Samsung S8, you can unlock this phone with your face, a fingerprint or an iris scan, increasing the order of security level, making the S8 one of the safest phones available. But how much is a Galaxy S8? Its been acclaimed as an expensive device, however a refurbished version might decrease the Samsung Galaxy S8 price.
