Unit arrived, as described - for the most part. "Very good" condition, specifications "as described," some minor dings and dents, nothing major. Now I'm not a refurbisher by any means, but the Apple OEM battery was still installed, with a nice and pleasant battery service notification up there - a clear indicator to at least put an aftermarket unit in it and reset the SMC, the trackpad cable was showing signs of material damage, and in a single-fan system, the single fan should be operational to keep the unit cool. It was not. Unfortunately, I did void the warranty by opening the unit, confirming the installed fan was non-functional, swapping the fan for a known good unit, and verifying that it was still, in fact, non-functional. Which effectively renders this laptop worthless for any prolonged use, as it overheats, which was my first clue that the fan was non-functional, second being visual confirmation. So I can't return it, and a replacement logic board costs as much, if not more than the unit did, so I'll put it in the parts bin and find another unit. Probably with a friendlier warranty in regard to individual right to repair policies.
