SO happy with my new (used) MacBook. I debated for ages about whether or not to pay extra for “Excellent” condition. In the end I decided not to, and I’m so glad. My “good” condition pick looked to me like it just came off the factory floor. Spotlessly clean, hinges and keys nice and tight. Out of the box it was stone dead. After charging the battery, the system showed that there had been over 700 cycles—70% of the estimated life. Then it was iffy to start with the power key—a PRAM reset seemed to fix that problem. Also, the screen has a mottled look in both upper quadrants of the screen. Unable to do anything about that. It is not real bad, but once you notice it, you see it all the time. When ordered, this was supposed to be in excellent condition—I would consider it more like fair condition. This computer was ordered for someone other than me and they seemed to be OK with it.
