I am a very frequent buyer on Backmarket and have recommended the site to many people. Never had a problem until my last Phone arrived. The phone was blocked by my carrier for nonpayment of installments by the previous owner. Then, my phone number was blacklisted because it was sent to the fraud department of ATT when I tried to activate the phone. Contacted Backmarket and it took much too long to respond with consideration of the problem, prompting me to set up a call with a tech was futile as what were they going to do about an unpaid phone? I returned the phone after back and forth with emails to Backmarket, and almost 2 weeks later got another phone because I had to wait to get a refund. Then, after nearly 4 hours on the phone with ATT with a half dozen different reps trying to solve the problem of my number being blacklisted, my phone number was finally cleared. It was an absolute nightmare and given this was just the first time I encountered a problem, I will say it was unfortunate. But I don't feel Customer Service is what it used to be. Sorry.
