    The device was returned for a refund. I received the phone quickly. It was packaged well. As soon as I took the phone out of the package I saw a scratch on the screen. It was supposedly in “excellent” condition, which, obviously, it was not. I opened a ticket, and I had to provide many photos of the phone to prove that the problem I saw was real. After s few days I was given the info needed to send it in for a refund, which was promptly issued. If the refurbisher couldn’t see an obvious issue with the device, what else did they miss? What this experience tells me is Backmarket is only as good as the refurbishers it works with, as BM doesn’t do any QC of their own. They outsource that, and, when there’s an issue, they outsource the follow up QC to you, the customer.
