    The quality seems to be superb however not getting the color I ordered is disappointing and then having to go through the trouble of sending it back not getting a guarantee that I will get what I ordered so I had to settle for a 5% refund

    This refurbished excellent condition MacBook looks like it's brand new - not a single blemish on it! Works really well. I'm very happy with the purchase. I needed an Intel i7 processor, and this laptop was the perfect match. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on buying a brand new one.

    I appreciated that the cosmetics which matched criteria for "very good". I appreciated the 30-day return and the year warrantee. The shipping and packing were excellent. And knowing that I could return the unit to techs that were on board at Back Market was definitely an added attraction. But I felt the level of the hardware refurbishment fell short. The iMac was really slow in booting up as well as in loading apps. The rotating beach ball was a frequent visitor on the desktop. I've been working with PCs and Macs for over 30 years and it was quite clear that its loading was no where close to when the iMac was issued in 2017. 8GB RAM should certainly be sufficient in a basic use of a Mac. The HD had obviously deteriorated and should have been replaced within the criteria of "refurbishment". I took a guess and gamble vs.returning it (due to an immediate need for a computer)... and swapped in a Samsung Evo 870 SSD... and now it works like a dream. So besides my initial cost, I invested an additional $125. Should have been an option on my part; not a necessity I would definitely return to BackMarket because of the options and guarantees that it offers. Had the Mac cost moreI would have. But, between you and me, I would have conversation or forward this communication to the party(ies)who supposedly "refurbished" the unit. I don't think your company would want this to represent the level of refurbishment that the company claims to offer customers. I wouldn't have left it leave the bench without swapping out the HD and looking at its benchmarks. So, in the end, with additional investment I was able to have the unit I wanted for my wife. As a suggestion, it would be a neat option on whether or not to receive a keyboard and mouse... and have it reduce the cost of the unit. I don't mean to be derogatory in my comments, but I think both of us would expect a comparable level of refurbishment as that which is offered by Apple.
