    I ordered an iPhone XS 64gb, silver, unlocked, described in "very good" condition. The iphone was in extremely good condition! The iphone looks "like new", with only a tiny, very minor scratch on the camera bezel that is almost unnoticeable. I placed the order on a Wednesday and it was supposed to arrive the following Monday, well, it arrived on Friday in just three days!!! The iphone was bubble-wrapped and in a generic box with a generic cable. The transaction was extremely smooth and so far, the iphone is working perfectly fine (hope it stays like this, but if it does not, it has a two year warranty). I got my cell from GadgetGone and I would order from them again. Back Market kept track of the order and sent me constant updates via email. Honestly, I was reluctant and apprehensive, but my experience was very good and I recommend the site.

    Unfortunately, I rated this purchase middle of the road. To be honest, the device was in fantastic shape. I couldn't have been happier from the perspective of its condition -- even at "very good." However, I purchased the device based on price and was okay that it was "locked to T-Mobile," as I am a TMo subscriber. When I tried to activate the device, no amount of working with TMo resulted in the phone working with the existing SIM card that I had. Needless to say, I was bummed. HOWEVER, the seller was VERY accommodating and I was able to swiftly make the return, with an equally swift refund. In this way, I am ecstatic with the interaction on BM. It's really a no-risk situation. Highly recommend finding your next device on BM!

    Apple products are just rediculosly priced anyway. If you're buying Apple, you are used to that. This is our first Apple purchase, so, $800.00 for a several years old used phone sounds astronomical. But, Black Market seems to be pretty much in line with other sites. Plus it has a 30 day no questions asked return policy and the security of buying that a single phone off of ebay and a private seller doesn't have. The purchase experience was awesome. They are SO attentive with an immediate email and periodic check in's, purchase events, shipping, trouble or problem updates, ect.. the website is awesome. The certified refurbishers are good. We bought 3 iphones, $600, $800, and $1300, and although we had problems with one of them bring locked, they took the phone right back and refunded the purchase price. We bought the same phone again on the website, with a different refurbisher, and that solved the problem. All 3 phones worked right out of the box, and were in emaculent conditions ( we paid for the excellent condition. We would buy from them again (and did). One dissapointment is that none of the phones came with a charging block or headphones as factory phones do. You'd think for a purchase price, $600, $800, and $1300, they could afford a $10.00 charging block and headphones to accompany the phone.

    The product itself looks great, a couple very very minor knicks on the back and aluminum body, but the screen is pretty flawless. It is also very clean. The battery health is at 99% and there is even 3 more months left on the Apple warranty, which means the phone was turned on for the first time 9 months ago. One thing to note is that the refurbisher did not erase/reset the iPhone before shipping it. Granted there was nothing interesting stored on the phone (besides a screenshot), but it seems like erasing/resetting an iPhone is something anyone would do before reselling a phone. I was a little shocked by the packaging though. The phone was only wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap, so it was not thick enough to fit the box snugly and it was sliding around inside the box freely. Luckily it didn't seem to affect the phone, but I would have expected a bit better packaging. This is the reason I gave it a smiley face rating instead of a open mouth laughing face. Other than that, it came with a very sturdy aftermarket lightning cable, which will probably last longer than an official Apple one, but the thickness of it might not fit through a case opening where the thinner Apple cable would. Overall, quite pleased, this was the 2nd used phone I got from Backmarket and would purchase another one in the future.
