    The delivery and mechanics of the purchase went as smoothly as you could hope, but the actual phone is anything but what I was hoping for. "flawless" condition is a far cry. "Excellent" not even close. "Good" would really be a stretch. The glass face has obviously been replaced (it has scratches) even the phone itself has a warning emblem that states that the glass is not original equipment. At times it is unresponsive to firm wake-up taps. It also has faded areas around the perimeter. Gouges around the bevel/trim show where it had been pried on by a hard sharp tool. I was considering sending in my like-new condition Iphone XR but am now Leary that I will be told that they didn't agree with my assessment and will offer much less than the original quote. I'm not saying it's BackMarket's fault, but the refurbisher appears to have pushed off on me a less than desirable phone. Not real happy with my first transaction.

    I'm happy with the iPhone, I bought it as 'fair' condition. I was worried about the battery, but it's at 98%. It does have some visual marks, like a bit of fading and a few scratches on the edges, but everything else is fine! I haven't finished setting it up yet, but I'm really pleased with the price and quality. Maybe next time I wouldn't buy 'fair,' I'd go for 'good condition'.
