    Phone was in good condition, packaging was awkward to open and I would have preferred more protection for the phone. Was also surprised that there was not at least a charging cord, which would be minimal cost to include. You also need to advise customers that they must be present to sign for it. My delivery was delayed because I was not home and did not know that a signature would be needed. Had I known, I would have had it delivered to a Fed Ex store so I could pick it up on my schedule, instead of being held hostage waiting for FedEx to re-deliver it.

    overcharged. Phone was 622.64 before trade in. My card was charged 838.91. It was free shipping. I did not order anything else. I finally had to go in and cancel protection plan that I did not order = 156.97. That left 59.28 which I am guessing is tax. I requested a receipt , but have not received it yet. I have purchased from this company before and was very pleased, so, I felt safe ordering again. My suggestion is give them a chance but check your credit card carefully and request a receipt with your order.

    I purchased the iPhone 13 a little over a year ago and just traded it in for the iPhone 14. Initially, I was offered $288 trade-in value. Not bad, I thought UNTIL.. I send it in and get a counter offer because I find out the phone I'm trading in was blacklisted. The counter offer is almost HALF of the original offer. When I responded to the offer to try and understand why my phone was blacklisted, here is their response: "Backmarket is just a marketplace, like Amazon or Craigslist. Sellers can use the marketplace to sell their products. It sounds like your seller scammed you, or was unaware about the blacklist status on the device. As a seller on Backmarket, though, it's unlikely that they didn't know that the device was blacklisted unless they are extremely negligent." I've purchased multiple phones on Backmarket and have had more good experiences than bad, but buyers beware... you would think that you should not be able to purchase a blacklisted phone, but apparently, that is not the case, and you may lose a substantial amount of the trade-in value as such.
