When I plugged the iPod into my MacBook Pro it said the following: "Your Mac has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with Mac. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod." I tried disconnecting and reconnecting and got the same message. I tried restoring and although my MacBook said the "restore was in progress" it never completed even after 24 hours! I've already returned this iPod and ordered another one hopefully from a different vendor although I didn't see any way per tech support's advice to check a box for "not the same vendor"..:(

Worked for 5 minutes, when connect to a Mac it said it was corrupted and to restore. It got stuck half way while the ipod was making noises and is stuck on the Apple logo. Also check what device they send you. I got the model number A1238 with is the 5th gen not the 6th gen.
