So far this laptop is in the running for my favorite of all time. The condition was excellent. It was free of bloatware. Physically, it looks brand new. The battery was 80-85% of new (totally acceptable). And the performance has been stellar.

The X1 Carbon G9 arrived promptly and with no signs of wear. I quickly connected her, charged her up, booted into Windows to install updates and flash the BIOS, and then installed a Linux distro (CachyOS). She's been running wonderfully since then, and with light usage (Firefox, VSCode, Obsidian), I can get around 8 hours of use. I was looking for a "MacBook" experience without stepping back into the Apple ecosystem; the X1 Carbon G9 accomplished that and more. I'll have to wait and see how longevity is, but I'll likely recommend this purchase to my coworkers and family members looking for a laptop.

I'm pretty happy with my order, some minor damage was repaired on the keyboard with what looks like hardened resin, and besides some scratches along the edges of the computer it's perfectly fine. I'm certainly happy with a trade of some cosmetic damage to saving about a thousand dollars, so no complaints there.
