I purchased my computer a little under six months ago (May 2023) and my one year warranty is effective until May 2024. The computer powers on but my screen is not working at all. Back Market was responsive and helpful when I expressed the need for repair. Per their instruction, I returned my computer to the seller for repair. I have received my computer back from the seller who FALSELY stated that I had damaged the computer in some way and they are unwilling to repair it. To add insult to injury, I returned the computer to seller for repair in a "think pad - computer box" with proper protection and the seller retained my box and sent the computer back to me poorly packaged in bubble wrap. The seller's claim that I had damaged the computer is untrue. There was no visible damage to my computer when I returned it to the seller. The Back Market warranty states that the "Product shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 12 months after the delivery date. Any defect appearing during the Warranty period is presumed to have existed upon delivery." This seller is being disingenuous in his business practices and not honoring the the One (1) year limited Warranty as stated on Back Market's website. As previously stated, I have only had my computer for roughly (6) months. I paid more than $1800 for it. I believe that I am entitled to the repair, replacement or refund of this defective computer (listed as "Excellent" at the time of purchase). I have made several purchases from Back Market and this is the first time that I have had any issues. This seller has certainly placed a derogatory mark on my Back Market purchase experience. It's my desire to rate the seller so that future buyers can be warned of the potential fraud of this seller. I am hopeful that Back Market is willing to assist me in resolving this issue amicably and at the very least disallow this seller continued access as a vendor on their platform. I'm a college student and a creative and this incident has made the semester a little more challenging. I'm back to using my previously purchased (smaller 2017 MacBook)from Back Market as my backup computer. Warning...this seller is bogus!!!
