    computer arrived promptly and works wonderfully so far (it's been about two weeks.) not rating five stars because i paid extra for "excellent" condition and there are a several scratch marks and i don't think there is a way for me to get a partial refund.

    I purchased a refurbished iMac, the experience was great and I promptly received the machine quickly and in great condition. I loaded my data from a time machine backup and all was good. A little over a year later (after warranty) I am running out of space so I moved data to an external drive and while I was at it decided to reload a fresh version of the OS. This is when it all went downhill. During the OS install I was informed that Remote Management was enabled by a school district in Utah. I cancelled the install and contacted Back Market's Help Center. Needless to say I am trying to get the machine replaced or my purchase refunded because there is no way to remove this - it is tied to the motherboard of the machine. I will update this review when the Help Center resolves this. For anyone purchasing a refurbished Mac from Back Market, perform this check when you receive the machine before you start using it: Check Remote Management Status: Restart your iMac and hold down the `Command (⌘) + R` keys to enter Recovery Mode. Once in Recovery Mode, open the Terminal from the Utilities menu and type `csrutil status`. If it says "System Integrity Protection status: enabled," it means remote management is active. If it's active send it back.

    Ordering was very easy, easy to find details, specs and see reviews. The process felt comfortable and trustworthy. I only encountered problems during delivery. the package needed to be signed for, but I wasn’t able to be home. It was very difficult to contact someone from Back Market in a timely fashion. I went back and forth with BM and Fedex, both saying neither one could redirect the package or anything. After 5 days of back and forth and delivery attempts that I knew would fail, I finally was able to pick up my new laptop.

    I don't normally write reviews but after several years of using back market its about time. This computer came immaculate well rounded I still don't think I've seen a scratch packaging very well. after a couple days use I'm very pleased as always. I've spent a lot of money with back market over the years never failed. UNLESSS Shipping is off and on depending on who is sending your things. I always order my things for express overnight shipping and it took 4 days to receive my order.

    My iMac was delivered last Wednesday and I still have not been able to set it up because the keyboard and mouse that were sent with it are not Apple products and are not compatible. I reached out to BackMarket and they gave me a small refund. I purchased a new keyboard and mouse and I still cannot set up my iMac! I really wish I could talk with someone on the phone, but all I can do is wait for an email response. I'm about to return this and buy from Apple which is excatly what I was trying to avoid doing.

    I received the MacBook in ish condition and it booted up but it didn’t want to leave the recovery mode and required me to install the MacBook software again on a USB DRIVE. For those who need a MacBook for work,definitely don’t take this one. It hasn’t been supported so safari is broken. You can’t download apps but the only thing you can do is play around with built in features. In general, I like it, wish it would work normally.

    The computer itself seems to be okay after using it for a while now. The part that really seemed baffling to me, was that I paid extra for an older computer that was in "excellent" condition and the whole back cover has a sticker covering the top that was placed on poorly as to cover any scratches or physical issues. It cleary is visible especially when looking at the Apple logo on the back.

    the outer condition of the device is definitely worth the price. The only issue is the batter health which immediately tell me it recommended a replacement . If I could go back I would purchase the device again in excellent or good condition instead of fair but if you are on a budget and specifically would like a Mac book than I do recommend. Unfortunately I will return device to get a better condition to save the hassle of spending extra money on the side when it would all be paid off at once. Other than battery, no other major problems have presented itself.
