    It appeared to be in OK shape. The battery was half gone in one hour. The hard drive said there was only 11.5 GB in it despite the fact I had put no data on the machine. I was within the one week window, however, and customer service was very responsive and I was able to return the device for refund without event.

    Device arrived. Screen is not an authorized part, Keeps displaying a warning that my screen is faulty, not authorized, will not work properly. Screen flickers when doing normal stuff, its extremely annoying and could cause a seizure . The return process takes more than a week. They MAYBE will give you a refund after THE SELLER approves the refund, after you ship the device back, but that also takes at least 7 days. So now I am phoneless and waiting for a refund so I can buy another phone maybe in 2 weeks. Customer service DOES NOT GIVE AF at all, and seems to think refurbishing devices with non-authorized parts is totally fine and normal. Also the battery needs service, and is not anywhere near "80%", selfie camera is full of debis.

    This is a review for the seller “Tek”, not BackMarket as a whole. We’ve ordered from BackMarket many times and never had problems until now. This was supposed to be a gift for someone who really needs a phone asap. Now we have to send it back and it’s going to take even longer. It’s not at all the “Excellent” condition we payed for. This isn’t even “fair”. This looks USED, and sold AS IS. They didn’t even bother to clean it. It looks like it had just been popped out of a case, factory reset and sent. It’s filthy and has a deep scratch in the middle of the screen, which is also dirty. You can tell by the filth that it had been in a case because it’s all a round the camera lenses and in the speakers. The rest of the body is fine as far as cosmetics go, aside from being dirty, but the damaged screen and fact it wasn’t even cleaned is ridiculous. This was used and sold as is. NOT refurbished. I hope BackMarket looks into this seller because clearly something isn’t right here. Gave two stars because at least it turned on and the body was ok. Otherwise I’d only give one. Currently getting in contact with BackMarket about the issue. I’ll update this review when we get a hopefully “excellent” replacement. 💔 (Screen scratch is circled in green. Performance questions were rated 3 since I didn’t use it that far. I rated the rest appropriately.)
