    There's always a rub, isn't there? This product seemed to be in great condition; that is until the screen protector cracked. The 'refurbisher' installed the screen protector using some kind of adhesive that was a chore to remove requiring careful application of goo gone, a credit card, and a considerable amount of time. I was wondering why anyone would use this method, then I found out. After removing the adhesive I was left with a screen that looked like it had been trough a blender with a mix of prevalent small scratches that looked like the previous owner had put the phone in their pocket with their keys along with wide, deep gouges in several areas. I'm sure the adhesive was there to cover up these defects in the screen to avoid replacing the damaged screen, this is extremely unethical. I ordered a 'very good' condition phone which Back Market claims will have: Appearance: Very good Screen: Perfect condition Body: May have micro-scratches visible from 8 inches away. Technical condition: Very good The durability scores of the item are above average according to Back Market's high standards. The risk of encountering technical problems is low. This phone does not come close to meeting that description. I wish I had taken the screen protector off upon receiving it, because if I had, I would have sent it back immediately. Never purchasing from here again.

    UPDATED REVIEW. ROUND ONE: I chose a lower-condition product, but thought the damage would be something coverable by a phone case. The scratches on the screen are pretty pronounced, though. They bother me a little, but at the same time I'm just grateful to have a more updated phone. It does what I needed and for a lower price than buying new. I'm still tossing around returning it and trying for one that has fewer/no screen scratches, but I'm also excited to have it so..... overall still happy with BackMarket. ROUND TWO: The seller offered to return or replace the phone, so I chose replace. The phone I got was in MUCH better condition, and I love it. But the Face Recognition outright doesn't work, and nothing I've tried has fixed it. So I'll be sending this one back in again and trying for a third time. Annoying problem, but the customer service has been good, so I'm glad for that. Accessories were also missing from this one. ROUND THREE: I was hoping third time would be the charm, but it wasn't. This phone also had issues, and I had to send it back. ROUND FOUR was with another seller, and that phone worked well for a little while and then started making terrible knocking sounds every time I recorded a video, which was a big problem since I wanted to update my phone for the video quality :( About to try to get a refurbished phone for the FIFTH time with a third seller on BM, and thinking I might actually be crazy for torturing myself for this long. Really disappointed overall. The help people were very nice, but weren't able to give me much information every time something went wrong, so it felt like endlessly sending back phones just for an "I'm sorry, we'll refund you." I don't want a refund, I want a working phone.

    Doesn't seem refurbished at all! It came in the expected condition and has been working great for the week that I've had it so far. I was a little hesitant when I saw a few reviews about people having battery life issues, but the battery lasts me all day and still has usually 40% left even after using it most of the day when I charge it at night. It also came extremely fast, within a few days of ordering.

    Great deal, I bought it in Back Market, as TheVerge cleverly posted, the delivery was on schedule and the phone was brand new, not refurbished, thanks for saving me 500, but as The Verge said, one should never spend 1,300 on this phone. Im very very happy with this purchase. The Z Flip y excelent for 799. The battery last all day long, but the "fast" charging is not as fast as the S20 Ultra, althoug years ahead of Apple.:smile:
