When looking for a carrier, all said the device was locked. So I couldn't select the one I wanted. I had to activate a plan with the new sim in another phone since they see it as locked. After activating the sim and inserting into new phone, it worked. Took about a week and lots of confusion to finally get it working. Never had this much trouble before. Phone works well.
