    The laptop came completly unrefurbished, it had crusted brown gunk on the outside. It was running hot, so I opened it up and the thermal paste was old and crusty (making it ineffective). The vents and fan were also clogged with dust. Luckily I have knowledge on how to refurbish a laptop so I could fix it, but for an inexperienced user this could go unnoticed and shorten the lifespan of the laptop.
