the upad mini is great. I had the 6 before and I am familiar with the mini. the 7 seems to be faster. I carry it everywhere. I really use it for watch what ever I am in the mood for but mainly ready kindle books. it is small but that is why I like it, I can take anywhere. it's got a bright screen, sound great but I usually have my airpods in. it was delivered quick. I put a screen protector that acts like paper, so it's like writing on paper when I draw or take notes. over all I am super happy about up grading to the 7
