I bought a Macbook 12 in Very Good condition. Cosmetically it was very nice. Older OS install but that was fine, I am capable of upgrading to the latest as appropriate. The big problem was the battery, it was indicating service. That means, it was not holding charge properly and needed to be replaced. I gave it a try by upgrading the OS, PRAM etc etc, no change. The only solution they provide is to return it for a refund or replair/replace. Well how am I supposed to trust a repair or replace when they didn't confirm the battery was working in the first place. Not sure what they do check the laptops but there are only a few things to look at. Battery, screen, keyboard, mouse, power up, clean charging usb ports, maybe 10 minutes worth of work. I cannot recommend them at this time and would do comparison shopping, MAC of All Trades, Best BUY, Apple Refurbs. I would give them a rating of, beware, make sure you know what you are buying and how to troubleshoot.

I purchased an Excellent condition MacBook via BackMarket, from seller Tekreplay. Within a month, the battery faltered. I contacted BackMarket, and was told to ship the laptop to Tekreplay for repair. I shipped the laptop, then followed up to let Tekreplay know that it was en route. At that point, BackMarket chooses to tell me that Tekreplay will not honor the repair, and that instead I will be refunded the purchase price. By the way, they say, the Macbook version and year I purchased is no longer available on site. Here’s a 5% coupon code as an apology. Needless to say, I’m exceedingly annoyed. I could’ve just dropped the Macbook off at my local repair shop—the fix wouldn’t have taken more than a day. I’ve now been without a laptop for two weeks. I’ve been waiting to see if the Macbook with my preferred specs will reappear on here, so I can repurchase it. I’ve used BackMarket A LOT over the years. I’m typing from a phone I purchased three years ago. However, I would advise AGAINST purchasing from Tekreplay.
