The speaker itself is perfect. I definitely cannot tell it is refurbished. Also the customer service was excellent. However, the speaker came with a “defective” power adapter. It looks like an OEM Apple 20W charger but it does not power the HomePod (flashing yellow light) so it does not have the required 20W of power throughput. I had to use another one! After a very small hiccup in delivery my Anker Soundcore 2 arrived and I’m delighted. The sound quality is so much better than my old (ancient in modern terms) Sony Bluetooth speaker that I smile every time I turn on the music and listen. The tones are rich and lovely. Works great, looks great. I needed this for some home automation and it's serving that purpose. Plus having music playing when I get home (proximity command) it cool. One note: I didn't realize the home pod had to be plugged into the wall (looks like it is charging via a macbook but will not turn on) and has to be plugged in all the time to work. I knew nothing about these things when i bought them. I had a little problem figuring out the reset, because the instructions that come with these are very small print & not so great with trouble shooting. YouTube was my savior, because they were speaking Spanish! Lol! Once I figured them out, everything was good! I didn't expect this speaker to show up with the travel case and instructions! I'll be honest, I'm not up to date on tech.... This lil speaker kicks TF out I brought it to a camping music festival, everyone loved it! JBLs just kick tf out! I got the speaker like maybe 3 days after I ordered.
