    Purchased a reconditioned Samsung phone from Back Market after reading positive endorsement by consumer advocate Clark Howard. I was delighted with the shopping/fulfillment experience. Phone arrived on time and works like new. No suggestions for improvement.

    The device itself worked well, arrived pretty quickly, and looked as I expected, but it was locked to a carrier despite ordering an unlocked device. (Confirmed with carrier and with BackMarket after lengthy chats with both of them). Given the option to have them send a replacement or get a refund, I decided on refund. BackMarket also wouldn't offer any trade-in value for my current phone (also a Pixel 7a). Google was selling a brand new Pixel 9a for about $100 more than BackMarket is selling the refurbished 7a, but with up to $90 trade-in for my current phone... I wanted to love BackMarket and maybe I'll try again in the future, but the math didn't math this time around.

    because it was formerly an ATT phone it was more difficult to set up and transfer to Verison. It still has some glitches because it seems it was ATT first. I cant get the ATT off of it. But otherwise I really like the phone.

    The battery is definitely not new. It does almost as quickly as the old phone I bought this one to replace. The screen also randomly does not register when I’m trying to answer some calls/turn off alarms/things like that. I would not call this phone excellent condition.
