    I purchased an 'excellent' condition refurbished iPhone 13 mini and the screen has 5 scratches. Only 'fair condition' items are allowed to have minor scratches on the screen. With all the assurances and checks why did I pay for 'excellent' and receive 'fair'? (For some unknown reason it is listing the condition of my purchase here as 'very good', but it was most certainly listed as 'excellent' in the description and the receipt.) I've contacted supported; I'll let you know what happens.

    Back market was great. Fabulous iphone like new (doesn't look like it was ever used), super fast shipping. Fedex not so much (wouldn't accept my signature for leaving the package at the door, none of the website options on the door tag left worked, phone number only available at business hours), but all worked out in the end. I looked at buying the iphone direct from apple and verizon and only Back Market was quick, easy, and convenient.

    First time buying refurbished phone and first time using back market after hearing good things about them. I didnt have a a great experience overall but it wasn’t horrible. I got an iphone in “good” condition, supposed to have minimal, micro scratches and that was not the case. The screen had more tiny scratches than my previous phone that I’ve had for over 5 years and there was a big scuff along the top edge that my case conceals. The phone also came in dirty. It had gunk around the camera that i had to use a toothpick to clean out, the screen was full of smudges, I just expected better care for the product. I also expected the battery life to be better, it’s at 85% which i knew was a risk i was willing to take since most reviews set my expectations higher saying their battery life was over 90-100%. Also i would have bought a new battery if they had it but it was out of stock. Seems to work fine so im happy about that. The charger that came with my phone was not compatible. Luckily I had a charger at home that works. Just sad I didn’t get the right one and it’ll probably be a hassle to get the right one through back market. Tip— If you are trading in or sending another phone open the box carefully so you can reuse the box to ship your item in or you can check your account to see if you qualify for a shipping kit they can send to you, but to reduce waste I just repurposed the box the new one came in.

    Three ‘excellent’ iphone 12 minis in a row from three different vendors on Backmarket, all arriving with battery percentages less than advertised as passing quality control on Backmarket (85%). Rather than deal with warranty return once again, we surrendered and just replaced the battery in the 5-month-old last of these by taking it to the apple store ($90). Sadly I won’t be shopping here again until I can buy a refurbished phone that for sure comes with a new battery.
