    This was my first iPhone, switched from Galaxy 9. This refurbished iPhone SE had the best camera at the price point, which was the main factor in my decision. The device is fantastic. Screen and back has no scratches, although it is evident a plastic (perhaps otter-box) style screen protector was on the phone with its previous user, as the glass surface seems to have very faint abrasions around the top portion of the screen, likely where dirt and such got under around the camera and phone speaker. This is a minute detail, it's refurbished. The Phone itself works flawlessly. It charges fast, the camera is great, everything works. My main issue is battery life -- it is probably functioning at 60-75% health. I do not have the screen on all day, but simply use it for texting, emails, and some calling between my stops of the day, and it is typically around 35% by 6:00. Because most of my work as a student is in the library after this time, it's a bit of an inconvenience, but again not significant. It's refurbished and still works and looks great. Would recommend buying refurbished from backmarket. I also had a very simple experience trading in my old Galaxy to the refurbisher, and communication to the refurbisher was simple and streamlined.

    Not sure why, but it seems i snagged this phone for a true steal of a deal! As soon as i purchased the price for an identical model shot back up about $100. Made me wonder if the one I was going to receive would be up to par, but honestly it exceeded my expectations. Packed in an original apple box with apple accessories and shipped very very quickly.     The iphone X had a large scratch on the back of the phone's camera screen when it arrived. I was a beautiful phone otherwise. I was hoping that they would just repair it but I was offered a refund. A replacement would have been okay as well. Refund went smooth but it takes a while to get into account. The wait to return the first phone, wait for the refund to be posted, and then order a second phone was a bit much.

    Mechanically the phone appears to be in great condition. Cosmetically, I was initially disappointed. There is a deep nick in the side of the phone but that gets covered up by the case so it’s not an issue now. What really disappointing me was that they didn’t bother to wipe the phone down before they mailed it. The screen was dirty and needed to be wiped down. The phone looked sooo much better after I cleaned the screen. If they had just cleaned the screen before they sent it my first impression would have been much better.

    It looks and works great, but for some reason sometimes the screen turns itself on when I'm not touching it. I don't have Raise to Wake enabled, but I do have Tap to Wake enabled. Also, and this is probably because of the iOS 16 upgrade, the battery drains quickly when I'm not using it much during the day.
