Galaxy Note 9 vs samsung Galaxy Note 10 Comparison

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was released in August 2018, while its successor, the Galaxy Note 10, was released a year after in August 2019. Let's see how much Samsung changed its Note Series in a year and decide which phone is the better buy.

The Galaxy Note 10 series was the first to introduce a triple lens camera system. The Note 10 in particular sports a 12MP wide angle, 12MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide angle, while the Galaxy Note 9 only comes with two 12MP wide and telephoto lenses. You'll still get similar performance taking photos on either model, but a little more flexibility with the Note 10's wide angle camera.

The Galaxy Note 9 has a 4000 mAh battery, while Samsung decided to decrease the battery capacity on the Galaxy Note 10 to 3500 mAh battery. This looks like a big gap in battery life, but both phones have more than enough juice to get you through a full day on a single charge even for heavier users.

Both Note models have similar display sizes with the Galaxy Note 10 measuring at 6.3 inches diagonally and the Galaxy Note 9 measuring slightly larger at 6.4 inches. However, the Note 9 delivers slightly sharper images especially when enlarged since it has a 2960 x 1440 px resolution compared to the Note 10, which only has 2280 x 1080 px.

You won't find the same internal storage option between these two phones. The Note 9 offers internal storage capacities of 128 or 512 GB, while the Note 10 only has a 256 GB option.

You'll find an upgraded processor chip on the Galaxy Note 10, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 855. The Galaxy Note 9 has the predecessor chip in the Snapdragon 845. The Galaxy Note 9 also has two RAM options: 6 GB and 8 GB, so you can always decide to save a little more by going with a model with less RAM. The Note 10 comes standard with 8 GB RAM.

Overall, both the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Note 10 are great phones that have similar performances. If you're deciding if you should upgrade to the Note 10 from the Note 9, you probably won't notice much of a difference, so you're better off sticking with your phone or upgrading to a more recent model. However, if you're deciding between the new models, go for the Note 10 for slightly faster processing and more camera versatility with an added ultra-wide lens.
