This computer made me jump directly from Catalina to Sequoia. So much has changed since Catalina, Sequoia being geared especially to users who lack organization. I can't believe the trouble I had to set up the most simple features to make my new computer "feel" like the old one. Thank goodness, I had Chat-GPT to answers all my questions. On the other hand, this new computer is slick, a pleasure to "handle," with a sound of great quality, compared to the tinny sound of my old computer (2013 if you please). I feel transported into a different world. To my great pleasure, it arrived to my place a couple of days earlier than anticipated. One thing I would have liked is a power adapter that has a USB port. I read so much about it. I just assumed it would have been included. I also miss the good old days of the extension cord that doubled the length of the power adapter cord. Unfortunately, refurbished units tend to cut corners in that department. The cord is way too short and the adapter slips off the power strip if I look at it the wrong way. Most annoying.

The MacBook Pro 16” (M2, 2023) that I received is indistinguishable from a new MacBook. The seller did an excellent job with clean up, provided appropriate charging blocks and cables, and took care to ensure the machine was ready for me to simply connect my Apple ID and make the magic happen. Huge kudos to the seller & BackMarket for brining me a refurbished product that’ll last for years & meet the needs of my business.

The order of my MacBook Pro was easy and it operates just as it should. I am very happy with my new computer, except that the battery capacity is only 86%. It holds a charge all day long, but I am afraid that I will be needing a new battery in a year or so. I guess that is the trade-off when you purchase a refurbished computer.

The laptop is perfect except for some reason the computer smells like perfume. No idea why any kind of fragrance comes f a cleaning product would still be coming out of the computer. Not really anything to fix but maybe worth mentioning it to the seller.

I really feel good about the purchase. It runs well. Good for AI use cases but if you want a machine that truly can run all day unplugged then shoot for the M3. Only missing a star because the battery health was at 95% it loses battery pretty quick understandably so due to its architecture, but when I purchased a Mac, I envisioned not having to plug it in during the day at all, but it’s ok I guess I did choose to buy the fair option. 64 GB RAM 1 tb ssd is a huge asset.
