The phone itself if fine, but this is the 2nd phone I've ordered through Backmarket that was advertised as unlocked, works on all carriers (inc vzw), but turned out not able to be compatible with Boom Mobile's "Red" (vzw) network, not, apparently, for any technical reason, but for purely administrative ones. VZW refuses to provision them for Boom, one because it was t-mobile originally, this one, because it was Xfinity. Now, I activated the first one on Boom's "Pink" (T-Mobile) network, and can do the same with this one, but this phone may be going in areas where t-mobile tower coverage is spotty at best. I am deciding whether to proceed with this, but vzw's policy sucks, and backmarket needs to do better on compatibility advertising, or give me a direct line of communication with the refurbisher to verify before purchase.

This phone what's purchased unlocked. It is not unlocked it is on Verizon. Fortunately I have Visible so it is working. I was planning to move to AT&T so it will not work there.. It gets hot even with no charger. To replace it I have to do without a phone for 2 weeks. I had another phone when I bought this one but now it is gone. This upsets me greatly.
