so far, I am overall impressed with my recent unlocked iPhone 12. my previous iPhone had a failing battery and I intend to trade it in to get a tiny amount of cash. and my overall intention of getting an unlocked iPhone 12 is for mobile videography and not to show off. the battery lifespan is at 88% 2% below 90. the battery life seems to hold up and I believe I have up to 3 years to get Apple's IOS updates.

I bought my first refurbished IPhone with Backmarket in 2019 - an IPhone 7. I got it in the "excellent" condition and it was excellent for 5 years! I loved my IPhone 7 and the only reason I gave it up was because the IOS would only go to 14 and some of my needed apps did not support IOS 14 anymore. So with a great deal of research, including articles on BackMarket, I decided on an IPhone 13, again in "excellent" condition, trading in my old Iphone 7. Trade-in super easy - was given a trade-in price within seconds, free shipping, constant communication, and $ within my bank account all within a week. As for my IPhone 13 - Apple has made copying from old phone to new phone a breeze (not like the old days with needing to backup and copy from ICloud). The Iphone 13 came well packaged and yes, in excellent condition. Beautiful phone. I highly recommend BackMarket to anyone looking at getting a "new" phone. I purchased the blue iPhone 13 (128 GB) almost two weeks ago. I was initially hesitant, as I don’t typically buy refurbished devices. However, after reading so many positive reviews about Back Market—and wanting to finally try an iPhone—I figured this was a great opportunity to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email the same day I placed the order, confirming it had already been handed off to the parcel carrier. Had I entered my address correctly, it would have arrived within two days. In my excitement, I accidentally transposed a 7 and a 5 in the street number. Totally my fault. I contacted Back Market support to see if they could help update the shipping info, and while they couldn’t guarantee anything, the support team was friendly and made an effort to assist. Thankfully, I was able to intercept the package at a nearby FedEx office. The phone arrived in a simple white box with a compatible charging cable (no wall plug included). The device itself was listed as “Good” condition, but honestly, I’d say it was closer to “Very Good.” The screen and back were flawless. I needed a new phone but I didn’t want to buy new just because they’re so expensive. My friend recommended this site and I had bought my last phone refurbished so I decided to buy another one off this website. I bought a used pink iPhone 13 in excellent condition. The phone looks and works great, however the screen is not in the condition I thought I was paying for. At the top there is an imperfection underneath the screen where it looks like the screen has been impacted. There are small bits of blue, green, and black right at the top that resemble the screen of a phone that has been busted. It’s not a big deal and doesn’t affect the use of the phone, just slightly annoying. Other than this I am thrilled with my phone.

I ordered the Back Market iPhone 12 (64GB - Green, Locked to AT&T) for my 9-year-old, and while the phone itself works fine, I was disappointed with the condition upon arrival. The phone arrived a day later than expected, which wasn’t a huge issue, but the real concern was how dirty it was. I understand this is a refurbished device, but I expected it to be properly cleaned before resale—especially after upgrading to the "Excellent" condition tier. Before even taking it out of the plastic bag, I could see visible dirt and crust on the device, which was appalling given the current focus on hygiene. For a company that sells pre-owned devices, basic cleanliness should be a priority. I would have rated higher if the phone had arrived as expected and in a sanitary condition. If you order from Back Market, be prepared to clean your device yourself before use.

I've been buying from BackMarket since 2022 and since that time I've bought phones, watches, and desktop computers all with mostly positive results. I say mostly positive because I once received a phone that through no fault of my own ended up shitting the bed. I never complained or did anything about it because I simply don't have the time or luxury to go through the return process and be without a phone for an extended period of time so I just lived with it. All that said... One's happiness and satisfaction on BackMarket depends entirely upon the research that you do on the seller you're thinking of buying from. If you don't do the research and just buy something based on the the attractive pricing, then you might end up very unsatisfied. You want to find a seller that's been doing business on BackMarket for at least a few years. Why? Because unbeknownst to the seller it's possible for them to have a lemon (even though the products supposedly go through a thorough inspection process). If they've been on BackMarket for a few years, that's enough time for them to sort out their process and build a good reputation despite the odd lemon or bad customer review. And speaking of ...
