This is my first time ordering from this website so I couldn’t help but be skeptical. But so far, the phone has been perfect! 100% battery health, no scratches or dents, and clear connection with calls and Bluetooth.

I've been buying from BackMarket since 2022 and since that time I've bought phones, watches, and desktop computers all with mostly positive results. I say mostly positive because I once received a phone that through no fault of my own ended up shitting the bed. I never complained or did anything about it because I simply don't have the time or luxury to go through the return process and be without a phone for an extended period of time so I just lived with it. All that said... One's happiness and satisfaction on BackMarket depends entirely upon the research that you do on the seller you're thinking of buying from. If you don't do the research and just buy something based on the the attractive pricing, then you might end up very unsatisfied. You want to find a seller that's been doing business on BackMarket for at least a few years. Why? Because unbeknownst to the seller it's possible for them to have a lemon (even though the products supposedly go through a thorough inspection process). If they've been on BackMarket for a few years, that's enough time for them to sort out their process and build a good reputation despite the odd lemon or bad customer review. And speaking of customer reviews, you also want to find a seller that has AT LEAST a 4.5 Star rating and in this day and age that's starting to become a bigger and bigger ask because in the research that I've done on sellers with products I want to buy, a rating of of at least 4.5 Stars is a rare thing. Why? Could be that there's a lot of salty customers leaving bad reviews, could be that the refurbished market is getting over flooded, or it could be that BackMarket is doing a bad job vetting the sellers that they allow to sell on their platform. Remember, Backmarket itself DOES NOT sell anything, they only provide the platform for sellers all over the country to sell their products. Given that that's the case, I think they should take another look at the their vetting process because like I said, find a good seller is getting harder and harder. Buyer beware, if you don't do your due diligence and you end up unhappy, part of that is on YOU. If the product you want is being sold by a seller with 4.0 rating, move on (that's my standard at least). A seller with a 4.2 or 4.3 rating you'll probably be safe but manage your expectations. Again, my aim is find sellers with a 4.5 or more. My latest purchase? I bought a base Iphone 13 from a seller named "Give Back Wireless" and I bought it in only "good" condition. I've bought items in "excellent" condition in the past but even those came with flaws despite the alleged thorough inspections so for this phone I was okay with just "good". I was expecting scratches and flaws, I was expecting a battery hovering around +/- 85% health and I was okay with all that given the good price the phone was selling for. When the phone arrived (much quicker than the estimated arrival time), I was very pleasantly surprised to find a "like new" phone. Not a single scratch on the body or the screen. No dents, dings, or other types of whoopsies. The best part? The battery was at 100%!! Now I don't know that's because the previous owner knew how to take care of their phone and was a light user, or if the battery was replaced. And if it was replaced I wouldn't know if an OEM battery was used or not but the phone functions 100%. It updated to the latest IOS with no problem, the screen doesn't flicker or switch apps and start freaking out like the previous phone does. It all works as it should. As a small added bonus, the included Lightning cable looks to new and unused as well. Overall, I'm happy (assuming things don't go wrong). If you're in the market for a new device, definitely check out Give Back Wireless. Their 4.6 rating is (so far) well deserved and a rare thing nowadays. BackMarket? Do better vetting your sellers. A seller with a 4.5 rating shouldn't be such a hard thing to find. Sure you everything you sell has a 1 year warranty but if you go back and look at some negative reviews you'll find that when dealing with sellers and the return process, it isn't - A) all that quick B) all that convenient (requiring you to be without your device for who knows how long) C) potentially not fair to the customer if the seller messes around with the refund process. You want happy customers? You want to be the best online platform for refurbished goods? Vet your sellers and stand behind your customers. If a seller has too low a rating get rid of them. If a customer is having a hard time getting a refund from a shady seller, refund them with BackMarket funds and YOU deal with the seller directly. Just a thought. Backmarket can be a great place to find great refurbished devices as long as you do your research. For me and this latest purchase, I'm very happy! Thanks GIve Back WIreless!

The ordering process and delivery were smooth as ever and though I chose the 'good' option I can find only one very minor smudge on the back (which frankly I never look at, and its covered!). One thing to note - be careful when transferring from your old phone - if you don't want iOS 26. You cannot convert back - Apple has "unsigned" iOS 18.

Battery life was at 100%. I’ve ordered 2 other phones from here before and they were at 89 or 93 respectively. So this was a great surprise. I was able to transfer everything from my XR to the 13 easily. No overheating during the process and it looks absolutely perfect on the outside and screen as well. Zero problems. I love my new phone!
