I ordered a this laptop for my mother in-law. after recieving it, she was havinging trouble setting it up. A week after she got it, she was still not able to actually use it. So, she brought it to my place and I tried to help her. It was getting stuck at a login prompt for Intuit. There was no way to bypass it or continue setup without internet. I even tried OOBE\BYPASSNRO from the command prompt with no luck. I started a chat with customer service to get some help. They informed me that " the seller" made a mistake when setting it up and that it was set up as an enterprise machine. This was concerning for several reasons. First of all, I did not buy this laptop from "the seller". I shopped and paid for this laptop on Back Market's website. There is NOTHING on your website, at least on the surface level, that suggests that Back Market is just an intermdiary like ebay or facebook marketplace. But as soon as I had an issue, it's "the seller" that made a mistake and there is nothing Back Market can do except set up a return with "the seller". Total. Fucking. Bullshit. I didn't pay "the seller" when I bought it, I paid Back Market. If Back Market is taking my payment, Back Market IS the seller. Period. Second of all, how in the hell did we end up with a computer that was set up for enterprise deployment?! Are you allowing people to sell enterprise computers they "aquire" as some kind of e-recycling program from a business?! On top of all of this, I have to jump through a bunch of hoops to document the state of the laptop before I send it back as if I am not going to get a refund if "the seller" claims it was damaged?! I wasted so much time and energy on this and Back Market took zero resposibility. What should have happened is Back Market should have sent me another computer at no cost to me and provided a shipping label to return the enterprise machine to BACK MARKET! Back Market should have handled the return to "the seller". But you didn't. You made it my problem to get my money back from "the seller". I will NEVER buy anything from Back Market again and I will tell everyone who will listen about my experience. I intend for the impact of my experience to cost you much more than $300 in business.
