    I was so scared to order a refurbished computer,to say I am happy with my purchase is an understatement! You literally cannot tell this computer was ever used! I recommend BackMarket to everyone looking for tech at a more affordable price!

    It looks and works like new. I had one of these through my employer for the past couple of years and I worked it hard. Earlier this month the agency updated our equipment, so it has been replaced with a new EliteBook model as the agency rolled out new equipment and updated everything to Windows 11 Enterprise with Windows 10 support ending earlier this month. However, I was in need of a quality Windows 11 capable machine for home. I figured I could score a decent example of the 840 G8 on the aftermarket, and voila! I did just that through Back Market for about 1/5 the price it cost when it was new. These things new are very expensive, and unlike my employer, I do not need the latest and greatest, just something that is still supported and works well for basic office tasks. I really like the form factor and the speakers, and believe it or not, even the 16:9 ratio screen size. Being familiar with the machine through my employer made the choice easy because I know how it works and what it can do. We also have the HP G5 docks at work, and they too work great for those desktop comforts, including dual monitor support, keyboard, mouse, power, and more, all through one Thunderbolt 4 USB-C connection to the dock. So I scored a used one on eBay for half of what they cost new and it adds those desktop comforts at home with easy connectivity and similarity to my work office set up, albeit with second-hand equipment. It makes it easy to switch out my 840 G8 with my new work laptop when I am working from home, and it simply works. The only thing I did was upgrade the RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB, as upgradability is the name of the game with this laptop. A solid choice for a great looking and performing laptop at a fraction of the cost of a new one. For those thinking about it, please keep in mind it is not a gaming laptop as it only has the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics with 1.5 GB of VRAM. It can play some basic games but that was not the intent of the machine. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my Back Market purchase through IT Replay, the refurbisher who sold me the laptop. Great work from IT Replay on the high-quality laptop and equally impressive shipping/packaging, and great work from Back Market for the platform to make the purchase quick and easy. Thank you all!

    I’m overall appreciative that the device works and is functional. Only thing I did forget is that the battery life on Dells aren’t the best, I should’ve went with a refurbished Mac but I like the easier interface of Windows more than Apple. Good computer overall.

    It was perfect. I’m a Shriner and every year we go to the Navy Base and pick up 40 recruits from Boot Camp on Thanksgiving day and feed them a big dinner and set up an Internet cafe. These sailors have had zero contact for 6 weeks so the fact that we were able to purchase these iPads so they could FaceTime with their family on Thanksgiving was priceless!!! I will be purchasing another 15 for next year.
