I was skeptical and researched a good deal before pulling the trigger with a used phone. I went with the A36 since it was affordable and if it ended up being a bad deal, I didn't spend a fortune. I'm happy to report that I've had the phone for over a week and it's been working great. Received in a nice, plain white box that was form fitted with foam for the phone and charger. Not a scratch on it, from what I could see, and it was unlocked (was concerned after reading a few bad reviews). Simple enough to switch everything over and add the Sim card. Very glad to have gone this route. I can't justify spending thousands on a phone that usually needs replaced every few years. Good experience.

The phone itself is physically fine, a 5/5. The wording for these phones is just kind of confusing to me I guess. When given the choice between locked and unlocked phones, I thought it meant firmware versions. I received an a36 with Verizon firmware and a network unlock. It works fine with Mint, it just has an annoying Verizon boot screen and bloatware.

I turn the phone on it says AT&T I think not too much of it I go to my provider my provider says somebody previously owned the phone and still needs to finish paying for it why would you send me a phone that's not even been paid for and not even unlocked that was very disappointing

Everytime this phone opens there is Verizon in Large Red letters. I Requested an UNLOCKED phone and Not a Verizon phone. Sometimes Verizon Phones have some sort of lock that can not be erased - as told to my by the service tech. My carrier is NOT Verizon nor will it ever be my carrier. The other problem. I charge my phone every night. There have been times when a screen - green with looks like Chinese written on it and the message says do not unplug from charger because the phone is receiving software updates. I have never had a phone send this message. What is this about??

I ordered an unlocked Galaxy A36 but received a Verizon-locked version. To fix the merchant's error, I’m forced to source my own box because the seller originally used a FedEx envelope—a method Back Market prohibits for returns. The merchant will not send a replacement model (if they have one in stock) until they receive the model they originally sent me. It’s frustrating to be penalized with extra costs and a long delay because a "pro seller" failed to follow the rules or send the right phone.
