Battery health/life seems pretty good. condition is consistent with the rating and the screen doesn't have a scratch I can see. fast easy delivery. good experience all around.

I bought a reconditioned Pixel 5a to exactly replace the one I had which quit working. The newly purchased phone lasted about a month before it died. Screen went black during normal use never came back on. Back Market Customer service did offer a means to return the item, but as I had sensitive information on the device and no screen lock on, I didn't want to take a chance on my data being on the loose since B M is really only a middleman in the transaction. Who knows where it would end up. Took the phone to uBreak iFix and they determined that the mobo was bad. Fortunately for me it was not a total loss because I figured out how to swap the screen from the bad mobo phone to the one I had before, and got it to fire up. Turns out the 5a has known defects which Google knew would shorten its life and offered an extended warranty on the 5a. But I didn't find this out without going through a wringer. So the upshot is basically if you buy "reconditioned" merch from Back Market (or anywhere), know that it is not a guarantee you will be satisfied and your problems will be over. WARNING: I purchased the google pixel 5a 5G from back market a little while back. I bought the excellent condition option, and the phone successfully arrived in great condition. Everything went well with the device for the first month or two, but then one day i started having issues. I was casually using the device and it randomly froze up, and then shut down. I was unable to turn the device on for a while, but finally got it working after resetting it. A little while later the same problem occurred, and then again and again, and latter that week the phone shut off again and i was never able to turn it on again; even after researching and trying every reset option I could find. Back market customer service was very good about and after some effort i was able to send the device back and get a refund. I figured this was a very rare incident, so I purchased a second Google Pixel 5a 5g from Back Market; but shortly after I got it the exact same thing happened again!
