Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G4 14-inch (2019) - Core i7 - Gen 8 (U) - 16 GB - SSD 256 GB

I haven't had any personal devices besides my phone since 2014. I've been wanting to decrease my phone dependency and figured having the internet on a laptop would help. Now my phone is becoming secondary to my laptop, and I like that, because I mostly just leave the laptop in one room. I like that the internet is in a stationary place like it was in the 90s. What I Like: Set up was easy. I use a similar device for work, so the usability is familiar and easy to me. There were some delivery issues, but customer service responded quickly and resolved it. Screen quality is great. Things run fast. I have lots of tabs open and nothing is glitchy. Complaints: After using the laptop for about 2 weeks, I've noticed that with certain audiobooks and podcasts the sound comes out a little crackly. Fingerprint ID doesn't work very often despite cleaning my hands and the sensor. Trackpad seemed glitchy once, but I think my hands were just sweaty or oily (had just been working out). I restarted the computer and came back the next day with no problems. Overall: It was a great deal, I've used backmarket for all my phones since I broke my first iphone back in 2014 and I'm enjoying seeing what else they have. I chose a thinkpad because they supposedly last forever, and I don't need it for anything beyond basic internet usage.

Though the condition was rated "Fair", I found the condition to be very good. The only indications I could see of previous use were some scratches on the underside which are of little consequence.

so far, I'm happy with the item. it's my first laptop. so hopefully it's beneficial to my startup hobby/business.

The device was in decent shape as advertised, but they sent me the wrong adapter. I reached out to customer service here on Back Market, and they said the seller doesn't have any more in stock, and all they can do is sent me a $20 credit...even though the cost of a replacement power cord for the device is over $70. What a frustrating experience to go back and forth for two days with customer service, and to not even get it resolved for something as basic as this. First and last time I order anything on Back Market.

I think it is a great deal at a great price

Seems one set of plugs need to be replaced. 1 is USB C, I am still trying to figure out the other one.
