Ok so I have had my laptop for almost two weeks now, I wanted to wait at least a little bit before reviewing. I am typing this review from the computer and so far it is EXCELLENT. I previously had a MacBook Pro 2012 and I bought it used over ten years ago but over a local marketplace not a refurbished laptop so I was hesitant but I am aware of the tanks of a machine matchbook pros are so I decided to have a little faith. The computer is a beauty, such an upgrade from my 2012 version made it look ancient haha. I got the 2019 in space gray and I love how dark it is I love how sleek it is, I edit videos a lot and I am obsessed with the Touch Bar! The only mention I want to give is I did buy EXCELLENT condition and it had a handful of scratches I would say less than five, only visible when looking closely but I was kind of expecting perfect condition but honestly I don't mind now after having it a few days. The first scratch on any new device is the most painful so at least it will prevent me from having that experience. Overall extremely happy with my computer so far. Was very apprehensive about buying refurbished from anyone other than Apple, because I usually don't trust "renewed" or "refurbished" items from third party sites because you are taking a gamble with them, but was very pleasantly surprised from Back Market. Omaha Blue was a part of a refurbishing company that I googled online and found their website and they seem very legit and reputable. The computer was definitely in excellent condition, not a scratch on it. Booted right up. Took a bit of a process to update from Ventura to Sonoma, and also had to go into recovery to reenable the secure boot options. (I assume they were using Linux or something else on it for work). But it came with the AMD RX 5500M 8gb video card, which was a nice surprise, because I wasn't sure which one would come, since the website listed the 5300M 4gb. The main reason I got the 2019 is because I still wanted to be able to put Windows on it for games, since Apple Silicon Macs still can't play many games and can't run Windows easily, except in VM. It's been able to play any game I throw at it, including Diablo 4, and recent games, no problem at 1080p no problem, and some even at native 3k resolution. Overall, ...

Not really sure if this Mac was refurbished or not, or if it was just checked to make sure it was working and packaged up. It arrived in fairly decent condition, I purchased one in Fair condition, so I wasn’t expecting it to be perfect. It has several significant scratches and little gashes all over the bottom plate cover, could be much worse, the top case and screen are very nice, it’s just the bottom plate that’s a little beat up, and since it’s in a case, u can’t even see it. The bottom case plate is 14 bucks on eBay in perfect condition, so I could easily buy a replacement, but I don’t care, I’ll never see it. It is working perfect, that’s what counts. I got it for a hell of a deal at 474 plus tax, so I’ll take it thank you very much! If I could complain about one thing though, is the fact that it was not 100% clean when it arrived, I did need to wipe it down with iso, it doesn’t look like it had the once over from the refurb company, as it was clearly a little dirty, the case I mean, the screen was clean, but the top case and the bottom were not checked before packaging. Nothing a cloth and alcohol didn’t fix, but still.

I purchased this 2019 MacBook Pro 16 inch and it has been amazing. Screen, keyboard and body are in excellent condition though I had bought "good". Had me double checking if I had bought it in "Good" or "Excellent" condition. It also seems to have a new battery, cycle count was a 1 when I received it and it has been amazing. Would buy again.

I was nervous about buying a macbook pro in fair condition but with a 30 day return policy I gave it a shot. when I received mine, I felt like it was in excellent condition! there were very minor signs of use but nothing close from what I was expecting. battery cycle was only 142 so not bad for 5 years old. would definitely buy another product from back market
