In this case, calling it in "Fair" condition appears to mean that they had replaced the screen. In so doing there is a half-circle filled black in the upper left side of the screen. In most cases it remains invisible when the background is also black. On a light colored background you see it but rarely is there any live text or graphic that is cut visibly by this screen issue. T-Mobile would have given me an S-23 FE for slightly more money than this one which is two steps below the S-23+ so I guess it remains a decent deal.

I have had great experiences with back market in the past however the phone I received had a blocked IMEI number. This usually means the phone was reported lost or stolen. The seller, listed as "wireless devices" claimed the IMEI number was good which was easily disproven through my carriers website. Back market issued a full refund in a timely manner however, it is extremely disconcerting to potentially be in possession of a stolen item.
