Do Unlocked iPhones Work on All Networks?
Do all iPhones work on all networks?
Updated Jun 9, 2021 - Find out if you can use your unlocked iPhone on the Verizon network
First, let’s quickly touch upon what “unlocked iPhone” means. For an iPhone to be unlocked, it must mean that it is able to use its antennas for more than just one service carrier. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that it has the right antennas to work on every carrier. If your iPhone is already unlocked, there is a small chance that it may not be able to work on Verizon. We’ll get into that below.
As we said before, depending on where you got your iPhone, it may come equipped with different antennas. Verizon uses CDMA antennas, and some iPhones are only equipped to work on GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.
Curious it know if your unlocked iPhone will work on every network?
As we said before, many older iPhones were only equipped to work with either GSM or CDMA antennas. But newer iPhones that are sold inside the US are generally equipped with both cellular technologies.

There’s a pretty easy way to check if your unlocked iPhone will work on Verizon. Simply find the model number of your iPhone and check which networks this model number is able to work on. It’s as simple as that 😊 You can find the model number of your iPhone in your settings—get there by selecting “Settings” > “General” > “About.” And after you have the model number, just go to Google and see if this model of iPhone is compatible with the Verizon network.
We hope that your unlocked iPhone is able to work on Verizon! But if it isn't (sad face) then you can consider buying an unlocked iPhone 11 or unlocked iPhone 11 Pro that's used & refurbished.
