So this all started because myfriend constantly told me how "blah blah android is sturdier than iphone" and how fragile iphones are, so I took that as a challenge. I had to get a backup phone to take with my on the go when I'm out on the field, so I thought "Why not android?". My line of work requires heavy lifting, driving vehicles, etc, I am a pretty clumsy person (unfortunately), and I wanted a cheap phone, which is where I found this.
It came used, I think it was used for a year before I got it, and this thing has taken some HEAVY falls. It took a while before I cracked both the front and the back in multiple spots, some parts of the screen I couldn't even read through plus some glass of the screen came off in the corner, and yet the touchscreen STILL worked over those areas. The screen coloration was split down the middle for a while, but it functioned completely normally.
This freak of nature phone lasted a solid two years before finally, finally the screen gave out and the hardware started to rebell against my kind nature towards it (rude). Again, this thing has taken a beating and I have no idea how it survived for that amount of time.
If you want to give a clumsy person a phone as a gift, this thing is perfect, it will probably last them longer than your average phone (i've had many). Rest in piece my silly Galaxy S9. You will be missed dearly.
