After my Pixel 6 pro failed the waterproof test, an upgrade to the 7a was refreshing. The phone is smaller, which is great. The control functions are a bit difficult to master, never know which way to swipe. I wast overwhelmed when Google downloaded all the information from the dead 6 pro, no information was lost, no contacts, pics or calendar. Overall, great phone, great service from Back Market.

Easy to set up, everything is functional. One thing you will need that doesn't come with it is the pokey tool to open the SIM card part of the phone. I've kept mine from having previous Pixels but just an FYI. The Chrome browser does get stuck in landscape mode sometimes but when I close the app and open it again and it's fine. Not a huge deal.

The device itself worked well, arrived pretty quickly, and looked as I expected, but it was locked to a carrier despite ordering an unlocked device. (Confirmed with carrier and with BackMarket after lengthy chats with both of them). Given the option to have them send a replacement or get a refund, I decided on refund. BackMarket also wouldn't offer any trade-in value for my current phone (also a Pixel 7a). Google was selling a brand new Pixel 9a for about $100 more than BackMarket is selling the refurbished 7a, but with up to $90 trade-in for my current phone... I wanted to love BackMarket and maybe I'll try again in the future, but the math didn't math this time around.

I just purchased this exact phone to replace my broken screen for over $200 and you wanted to offer me $17 for my trade-in.
