No matter what Cyber Monday laptop you buy, get a refurbished one.
We all know how unnecessarily expensive laptops can be. What's the advantage of refurbished laptops? They work like new laptops but cost 30% to 70% less, and come with 1-year warranties and 30 days to change your mind (if you're buying on Back Market). You won’t find this kind of deal at any major retailer, but if you explore on Back Market, you’ll find low prices on all your favorite laptops.
Black Friday laptop deals are also tempting, although the Monday after is better known for major discounts on electronics. Some retailers even offer early Black Friday deals throughout the month of November. While it's true that you'll see some massive price cuts on popular laptops, you have to be prepared to buy on Black Friday. What if you want to save on a refurbished device outside of the holiday season? We've got the best refurbished laptop deals on our site all the time.
If you are interested in the top deals right now, here are just a few of our favorite Cyber Monday laptop deals.
A lot of people dislike Windows laptops for their lack of reliability over time. Buying a Windows laptop can be a bit of a hit-or-miss, I know from experience. But if you want a reliable laptop brand that is known for making dependable laptops, look no further than Lenovo. There’s a reason this brand is favored by so many businesses: their laptops are affordable, long-lasting, and well built. Yes, Lenovo laptops look very utilitarian and don’t have much in the form of fancy design features. But what they lack in looks, they make up for in price and usability.
If you want a thin Lenovo laptop that is comparable to the MacBook Air, we’d suggest the X1 Carbon. It's a thin ultrabook that's hailed by many reviewers for its build and performance. But before buying one of these laptops, make sure it isn’t too old. Laptops generally start feeling aged about 4-5 years after their release.
Maybe you’ve had a bad experience with Windows laptops and want to buy an Apple laptop this Cyber Monday. Apple laptops can be more expensive than their Windows counterparts (even if you compare refurbished models) but the good news is that they usually last for a very long time. How long? Apple is known for its stellar software support, and it isn’t unusual for people to hold onto their Macs for more than 5 years.
If you want a reliable MacBook Pro or MacBook Air for Cyber Monday, consider getting either one of these models refurbished. Just make sure you don’t get one that’s too old if you want it to last for a long time or plan on doing tasks that require a lot of processing power such as working with large data sets or video editing. A good rule of thumb is to buy a used MacBook that’s 3 years old or newer if you want it to still feel like new. And it’s always better to get one with an Intel i5 processor and at least 8GB of RAM. The i7 is an even more powerful processor but those models are usually suuuper expensive. Yay for power, but booo for being expensive!
Yes, you read the title right, the Mac I’m about to share with you isn’t a laptop, but it is super portable because of its size. The Mac Mini is more powerful than a MacBook Air, and also much more affordable. Although it doesn’t come with a keyboard, screen, or mouse, it’s small enough to drop in your bag and take anywhere. So if you find yourself working from home and from the office (and have a separate monitor, keyboard, and mouse setup for both locations) then the Mac Mini might be a good choice for you. It’s also possible to upgrade it, but that’s a different story for a different day 😜
